Our Story

It started, of all places, in the corner of a phone screen. A message on Instagram, a reply that took a little too long to write, and then conversations that somehow ran past midnight without either of us noticing.

Between voice notes and long calls, plans and inside jokes, the distance quietly disappeared. What began as a stranger's profile became the person we each wanted to tell everything to first.

Now we're gathering the people we love in the hills to make it official. Same conversation, no more time zones — just us, and you.

The celebration

Two days in the hills, four gatherings, one very big yes. Here's how it unfolds.

    Haldi

    A morning of turmeric, laughter, and a great deal of yellow. Wear something you don't mind getting a little messy.

  2. Day One · Tuesday, 24 November

    Mehndi & Sangeet

    The evening the family turns into a dance floor. Songs, a few surprises, and dinner under the mountain sky.

  3. Day Two · Wednesday, 25 November

    Baraat & Varmala

    The groom arrives in style and the two of us finally meet in the middle for the exchange of garlands.

  4. Day Two · Wednesday, 25 November

    Shaadi

    The vows, the fire, the forever. The heart of it all — the moment we've been counting down to.

Getting to the mountains

  • Fly in

    Nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB), well connected to Delhi, Kolkata, and beyond. From there it's a scenic 3–4 hour drive up into the hills.

  • By train

    New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the nearest major railhead. Cabs and shared jeeps to Darjeeling wait right outside the station.

  • Travelling from Gaya?

    Hop on with us. A bus leaves Gaya on 23 November and heads back from Darjeeling on 26 November. Let us know and we'll save you a seat.

Where you'll stay

Rooms are blocked for you at the venue — no booking to worry about. Once you confirm you're coming, we'll share your room details.

What to pack

Late November in Darjeeling brings pleasant, sunny days and crisp, cold evenings — think 4–15°C. Bring warm layers, a good jacket, and comfortable shoes for the slopes. Mornings can be misty and magical, so keep a camera handy.

Is there a dress code?
No dress code at all — wear what makes you happy and warm. We've noted the vibe of each function above if you'd like a hint.
Can I bring my partner and kids?
Absolutely. Little ones and plus-ones are all welcome in the hills.
How cold will it be?
Cold enough for a jacket, especially in the evenings — roughly 4–15°C. Pack layers and you'll be perfectly cosy.
